Alfred R. Margerum

MARGERUM Alfred R. Margerum, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Ginny (nee Oechsle). Dearest dad of Virginia Dennis (Michael), Nancy Schultz (Frank), Alfred Jr. (the late Barbara) and the late James (Denise). Devoted grandfather of Starlet Jacobs, James Margerum, Kristin Dolan, Michael Dennis Jr., Ryan Margerum, Stacey Turner, Nicholas Dennis and Casey Margerum; great grandfather of 10. He is preceded in death by his siblings Ralph Margerum, Florence Oechsle and Lois MacMaster. Alfred was a proud US Army veteran and served as a police officer in the city of Philadelphia for 30 years. He later went on to serve as a police officer for Temple University for 15 years until his retirement. Relatives, friends, members of the American Legion Juniata Park Memorial Post #738 and #178 are invited to his viewing and funeral on Monday, August 26, 2024 beginning at 10am at NULTY FUNERAL HOME, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila.,PA 19137. (Parking on premises). Religious services will begin at 12 noon.
